Reviews!
I loved this story for what it
was trying to say, and what it said to me. You won’t find spandex
or super-powers in this one, just strong storytelling, some really
innovative concepts, and a book that brings up some really intelligent
questions. Highly recommended.
-Aint It Cool News
Scalera isn’t offering us
any easy judgments (yet), but he is offering something far more thought-provoking
than the sensationalistic covers suggest.
-Fanboy Planet
Scalera and Diaz have produced a comic that tackles a very serious
issue and simultaneously proves an entertaining read, and we could
all use more of that in comics.
-Comic Critique
Their fictional story has more humanity and honesty than any episode
of The Real World ever could.
-Pop Matters
Honestly… this is a good,
good comic.
-Comic World News
Scalera’s writing is far
more gentle and natural than I would have imagined.
-Critiques on Infinite Earths
An excellent first issue to what
looks to be a great limited series. I’m going to go ahead and
give this issue an A.
-Newsarama
The book is very effective.
-Snap Judgements
Scalera does have a talent for writing dialogue that makes it hard
to stop reading.
-Bags & Boards
Regardless, the appalling notion
of whether suicide could become socially acceptable entertainment is,
sadly, well worth considering, and it’s
handled here with intelligence, sensitivity and plenty of psychological
horror.
-Rue Morgue
Scalera and penciller Dennis Budd provide a solidly satisfying
conclusion to their edge-of-your-seat and edgy-without-being-sensationalistic
story. The actions of the characters are believable. It earns
the full five Tonys.
-Tony Isabella
All in all, 7 Days to Fame is a noteworthy effort that suggests
both Scalera and Budd are talents to keep an eye on.
