Daniel Leister

Hello girls and boys here's a quick history of me, Daniel Leister.

I was born on April 1976 in Gertingen, West Germany. My father was paid to move there to do research so I'm not an army brat or anything, but my mom was. Three months after I was born we moved to Skokie, Illinois where we lived for five years or so. My dad got another job in California in the early 80's and we moved out there to Mission Viejo in Orange County. We stayed there for five years and in 1985 or so we moved out to Silver Spring, Maryland. It wasn't till then that I got into comics.

We didn't have a tv and I didn't know anyone yet. So one night when I was out with my mom I picked up a G.I.Joe and have been reading ever since. I spent a good eight years in Maryland from fifth grade until I graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1995.

I started drawing comics in my last year in High School. We had to do a final project for Art class and my teacher let me mess around with drawing a comic book. In the fall of 95' I came out to Columbus, Ohio to attend Ohio State University. I received my Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in 2000 and have been living here ever since. It might have something to do with the fact that my parents moved to Texas.

This is my first professional gig and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did putting it together. With any luck I'll get another job after this so I can continue drawing and avoid getting one of those real jobs.
